Finally, the day we been waiting for, trash the dress session with Max & Niel at the fishing village nearby Taiping…

After the morning mass registration of marriage in Buddhist Temple, Taiping, we continue our journey to the village… knowing Taiping as the rain town, cross my finger to have nice weather during our shooting session.. true enough, sunshine for us!!

Another night reached home late. Thousands of photos waiting for editing since I came back from recent Europe prewedding trip while I am busy running here and there especially this entire week….

Two weeks Company business trip in Seoul, Korea this coming December which need my preparation to kick start soon,team manpower arrangement, interviewing replacement staff, rushing for team year end target achievement and last check, Dad admitted hospital for kidney removal surgery,visiting him after work daily and lunch time, handling housing loan application for new house, retrieving all relevant documents, communicating with bankers via phones and emails, all these are coming in all at once…..

At hospital, looking at my dad while he was asleep after the operation on Monday, at the age of 63, the trace of life appearing all over his face and leave down all the marks…..he is getting older each day.. and I am still unable to provide him a worried free retirement life….he still need to work on his business for family monthly expenses.. carrying boxes of books and delivery himself to all his clients … what am I doing? as eldest son in the family, I fail… I fail to let my parent enjoying their retirement life, I fail to let them worry free on family issues…. that is why, no matter how, I must purchase the landed property and get my loan application approved, to fulfill one of my parent wishes since the day they forced to sell their house years back………,

all of the sudden, I miss my childhood where all we need to worried is study hard and play hard…world was that simple…yes, world was that simple in my childhood…

On my desktop now, preparing for another official posting on a recent pregnancy photo session and trash the dress session in Taiping while came across this photo..a photo taken during trash the dress session in Taiping . I dont know how you will see this photos… but to me, it tells me, there is hope at the end of the path. .. well, think no further, waste no time….night still young, time to resume my photos editing……Lets do it!

Trash the dress, also known as fearless bridal or rock the frock, is a style of wedding photography that contrasts elegant clothing with an environment in which it is out of place. It is generally shot in the style of fashion and glamour photography.Usually brides decide to have pictures taken on the beach, but other locations include city streets, rooftops, garbage dumps, fields, and abandoned buildings.Some sources claim that the trend was originally started in 2001 by Las Vegas wedding photographer John Michael Cooper^[1]. However, the idea of destroying a wedding dress has been used in Hollywood symbolically since at least October 1998 when Meg Cummings of the show Sunset Beach ran into the ocean in her wedding dress after her wedding was badly interrupted.A model often wears a ball gown, prom dress or wedding dress^[2], and may effectively ruin the dress in the process by getting it wet, dirty or in extreme circumstances tearing or destroying the garment. Know Racheal thru another couple 10 months ago. From time to time we do chat online for some crazy ideas on her wedding days including games and even trash the dress ideas sharing. And yes!!! lol she agree on my suggestion and best is we are doing it immediately after the tea ceremony, a real trash the dress concept !!

I met both Adrian and Racheal recently on my Australia Prewedding Trip for a quick drink. They are really nice and friendly, of course fun couple.. hope to see you again ya!!

I’ve always believed in recommendations, and it is through this fortunate event that I met Edwin Tan and Stephen Low.

I can’t say that I’ve been the easiest client to deal with as I reside in a different country but thankfully Edwin has patience (and speed) therefore most of the discussions were made easy via email and MSN chats. Edwin & Stephen, you have no idea how glad I was when you agree to hold the 4^th July spot for me. I am very very lucky. You both are very trusting and so easy to work with. You make photography fun.

Thanks for taking onboard with open arms the idea of trash the dress. This is one thing I have wanted to do for so long and when I know you both were up for it, in that instance I knew I’ve made the right choice. I don’t know what special diet you two are on, but both of you have so much energy even in that intense heat after running all over the place for camera angles. I burned out so quickly during our trash the dress session and mind you, all I had to do was pose and wasn’t even required to smile at all. Sigh. It’s a major case of tayar pancet on my part as well as Adrian’s. Sorry sorry!

Anyway, to Edwin, it’s been a real pleasure knowing you 10 months ago. In that short period of time, you have obviously achieved numerous awards and personal life goals. It’s nice to see you excel in this field doing something you so dearly love. Kudos, Edwin.

To Stephen, you’re a wonderful person. He’s shy in a very cute way which is why I couldn’t refrain myself from teasing him at every chance I get. But you must not let him fool you, because behind that face is a very serious photographer at work. He knows what he wants and he will come get it from you. Thumbs up, Stephen.

Edwin and Stephen, as you are probably aware by now Adrian hates to be photographed but you two somehow managed put him at such ease, he almost looked natural. You will not believe that up until the 4^th July afternoon he was still thinking that the whole trash the dress was just a big joke.

It has been such an honour and amazing experience working with the both of you. The pictures are awesome!! There is no need for an ice breaker because they are so friendly and most importantly, they are unbelievably responsive, punctual and quick as well. I’ve been shocked so many times and was left wondering “How the hell did they get here so fast?”.

Lastly, Edwin and Stephen, Adrian and I wish you both all the best, may your hopes and dreams come true and I look forward to see where your creativity and hard work take you in the future.
