2 weeks ago, Stephen and I received a last minute birthday celebration photo shooting at Holiday Villa. We reach there around 6pm and the first thing I saw was a few of the grandchildren from age of 5-6 till 20 over start practicing their performances for their beloved grandfather, they call him Ah Kong who celebration his 84 years old birthday.
During the whole night event, we can see how close their family are. Event though it was only 6 tables, but if you are there, you will feel the environment. They started with the background introduction on their grandfather and even showing all his car collection. Wishes from china for those who cant come back on time and most touching part is when all his son singing the song that he love when he was young.
Looking at them let me think back of my own Ah Kong. Yes, every year we do celebrate his birthday but I never feel such the same environment that I had during the photo shooting and I am not sure will I be able to do the same for my dad and mum when all their grandchildren grow up one day.
When I was young, parents are not rich and non of the relatives are close to us. Sometime, I did feel that friends are even better than my own relatives. haha, even until today……
