How should I start this… hmmm , Nicholas Leong, my friend, my wedding photography partner, my photography kaki.. I know him since June last year during our Genting Trip, “Tog shoot the tog” . From there onwards,we been shooting couple of weddings together and I am fortunate enough to be his uncle bob shooting for his wedding ceremony in the morning…that was really a relax shooting experience to me
Recently, on his regular Tuesday Inspiration Note, I was surprised that my name was featured as below.

Boss. Friend. Mentor. I think it is obvious to anyone who talks to me will know that I am greatly influenced by Edwin. His growth has been phenomenal considering that we started almost the same time. Put us side-by-side and you will probably know which is the better path to follow. Before this, I always had this fear when meeting established photographers, and Edwin was one of those people that I was afraid to approach. Even during an outing for photographer in Genting, I didn’t speak much to him, but surprisingly, he recognised me during WPPM Opening Night and I had no idea how, but we got along pretty well soon after. Towards the end of last year, I got to know him better and he engaged me on a few shoots. Many have said that to grow, one of the ways is to second shoot and I am glad I had the opportunity to do so with Edwin. Throughout our shoots and our conversations, I gathered some tips and tricks. The way he sees things, the way he approaches an image, the attention to details, and how he pose his couples – these are just some of the things I picked up along the way. I still look to him for advise and I am glad that I am able to call him the three words I used at the start – Boss, Friend, Mentor.
